I film workouts on my phone. What app adds timers and exercise names?
Short answer: On Android, use the Fit Cut Pro app from Google Play. Pick the workout you filmed on your phone; the app makes a 1080p copy, uploads it in the background, and its AI finds every exercise and rest. It then adds countdown timers, exercise names, a next-exercise window and your logo, and the finished video downloads to your phone ready to post. Recordings up to 30 minutes on the trial and Starter plan, 60 on Pro and 90 on Ultimate. On an iPhone, the app is coming; until then upload the recording to the same AI Editor at app.fitcutpro.com from a computer.
How it works
- 1
Film the whole workout in one take
Phone on a tripod, press record, run the session, stop. Saying the exercise names out loud helps the AI name them right.
- 2
Install and sign in
Fit Cut Pro on Google Play. Sign in with Google or email; the same account works on the web.
- 3
Pick the video and analyse
Tap New video and choose it from your gallery. The upload continues in the background; then the AI marks every set and rest.
- 4
Check, style, export
Fix any name or boundary, pick a timer look, colours and logo, and export. The MP4 lands on your phone.
Free to try
A new account can export two watermarked videos from the phone before subscribing. On the web, the 14-day trial includes 5 workout videos with every feature and no credit card. Paid plans start at $49.99 per month.
Other ways to get timers on a phone video
Phone editors such as CapCut or InShot can show a timer if you add a countdown sticker or text layer to each set by hand. Stopwatch-camera apps can burn a running clock into a recording, but not per-exercise countdowns, names or rest screens. If you would rather have the timer on screen while you film, the Fit Cut Pro Recorder in the browser draws it live.
Frequently asked questions

- Will I lose my voice?
- No. Your audio is kept and transition beeps are mixed over it.
- Is there an iPhone app?
- Coming soon. Until then, upload the recording to app.fitcutpro.com from a computer; the result is the same.
