How to add voice instructions to your exercises
Open Clips and click the voice icon on an exercise clip, or open the Voice side tab and choose Exercises in the Voice studio card. Each clip has two lines. Name is the exercise name, said in the rest before the exercise right after “Next” (up to 4 seconds). Info is a short form tip, played once per workout at the exercise’s first set (up to 15 seconds). Click Produce on a line and either Record it in the browser, Upload an audio file or type it for an AI voice, then listen back and click Use this. The line belongs to the clip, so every Creator and Editor workout that uses the clip says it from then on. Recording and uploading are free on every plan, the trial included; AI voice lines need a paid plan.

Step by step
- 1
Open the clip’s voice lines
In Clips, click the voice icon on the clip row. Or, in the Creator or the Editor, open the Voice side tab, click Exercises in the Voice studio card and pick the clip.
- 2
Pick Name or Info
Name is said after “Next”, up to 4 seconds: “Jumping lunges”. Info is a form tip said once at the first set, up to 15 seconds: “Land soft, knees out, chest up.”
- 3
Click Produce
The Produce window offers three ways to make the line: Record, Upload and AI voice.
- 4
Record, upload or generate
Record: press Record, wait for the 3-2-1 countdown and speak while the level meter moves; Replay and Re-take until you like it. Upload: choose an MP3, M4A, WAV or similar file up to 15 MB. AI voice: type the text, pick a voice and click Generate.
- 5
Review and click Use this
Play the take back, or choose Preview with clip to hear it over the exercise. Click Use this to save it, or Try again for another AI take. Silence is trimmed and the volume normalised automatically.
- 6
Record the trainer cues once
In Voice studio, open Trainer cues: Next, Rest, Get ready, 3, 2, 1, Go, Halfway, Last round and Well done. These are shared by every workout, so you make them once.
- 7
Switch voice cues on
In the Voice side tab, turn on Voice cues in my videos and choose which cue types play: Rest, Next + exercise name, Exercise info, Countdown voice and Extras. Each Creator workout and each Editor project can also turn voice cues off.
Voicing your whole clip library at once
In Voice studio, the Exercises tab lists every clip with a tick for Name and Info. Pick a voice and click Voice all exercise names: one AI request covers every clip that has no name line yet, and the app shows the cost before it runs.
For the trainer cues, Set up basic cues with this voice creates every missing cue in one go. In a stock AI voice the trainer cues are free; in your own cloned voice they use AI credits.
Letting AI write the form tip
On Pro and Ultimate, the ✨ button in the Info line writes the exercise’s form tip for you, in your app language and short enough to fit 15 seconds. Writing the tip is free (no credits); edit it if you like, then generate it in a voice or read it yourself with Record.
What it costs
Recording and uploading your own lines is free on every plan, the 14-day trial included. AI voice lines need a paid plan (Starter, Pro or Ultimate) and cost 1 AI credit per started 250 characters per request. The trainer cues (Next, Rest, 3, 2, 1, Go and the rest) in a stock AI voice are free, and re-saving an identical line costs nothing.
Plans include 30 AI credits a month on Starter, 100 on Pro and 300 on Ultimate, shared with FIT AI images and videos; top-ups are available. Pro, for example, can voice about 150 exercises (name plus tip) a month.
Common questions
- The app says my line is too long. What do I do?
- Each slot has a maximum after silence is trimmed: 4 seconds for a Name and 15 seconds for Info. Say it a little faster or shorter and record it again.
- How do I remove a line?
- Open it with Produce and click Remove line. Videos you export from then on will not say it.
- Does the Recorder or the Zoom app speak the cues?
- No. Voice cues play in Creator and Editor videos only.
- Do I have to set up every clip?
- No. A clip without lines simply stays silent; the beeps and timers work as before.
